Job Description
Our combination of highly trained staff, coupled with award winning technology, allowsHBCSto provide superior customer service and accounts receivables management services in partnership with hospitals throughout the country. Enhance your career in the growing healthcare industry by joining our team as aPatient Account Representativewhere you will work in a high-volume call center environment, and will utilize your exceptional telephone, customer service, and problem solving skills to assist patients with their hospital accounts and to collect payment. Must be able to work Monday through Friday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Responsibilities:
Manage a high volume of in-bound and out-bound calls from patients, hospitals, and insurance carriers to resolve patient accounts and collect payment.
Research alternate insurance or payment options available while navigating and updating multiple patient accounting systems
Assess caller status to ensure the protection of patient privacy and compliance with State and Federal guidelines
Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in a collections or healthcare business office environment
Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills with an emphasis on customer service
Excellent computer and multi-tasking skills
Ability to identify an issue, examine options, and provide an effective solution
High school diploma or equivalent
