General
Summary:
Reports to Director, Flight Operations and is responsible to the captain of the flight for the safe conduct and execution of assigned duties.
Primary
Responsibilities:
Assisting the captain in achieving a safe and comfortable flight
Effectively manage flight deck, exhibiting necessary leadership and decision making skills, as well as seeking out additional education and training
Provide for comfort of passengers in accordance with company policies and procedures as directed
Perform duties assigned during flight preparations and in flight using the discipline of crew resource management
Execute forms required by company regulations including flight plans and flight logs
Be able to assume pilot in command duties should emergency conditions dictate
Be familiar with FAA regulations, company policies and aircraft manufacturer's operating procedures pertinent to assigned duties
Manage effective, professional relationships with customers as well as develop a sense of knowledge of Campbell's over all business practices
Maintain a high degree of competency through self study and awareness of improvements and changes to the aviation industry
Perform other duties or projects as assigned by Director of Flight Operations or Captain
Job Complexity:
Assist in analyzing aircraft performance to avoid exceeding any airport limitations.
Bring to the attention of the pilot in command any abnormalities prior to or during the flight.
Assist in analyzing weather conditions at departure, en route and destination, insuring flight can be completed safety.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum education required: 4 year college degree
Experience desired: 2
years flying corporate planes preferred
Minimum 2000 flight hours with ATP rating
FAA first class medical certificate or ability to obtain certification
No accidents or violations
Must be able to complete annual training program and demonstrate proficiency
Knowledge, skills and abilities required:
Good communication and customer interface skills
Must be able to keep information confidential
Working Conditions
Must be willing to travel 95% and average 12 - 15 nights away each month. Requires working some weekends and holidays. Erratic schedule with long days. Lifting required up to 70 pounds.
Must reside within a 1 hour commute from New Castle County Airport.
