PDS is seeking a Senior Materials Specialist for an open position in New Castle, DE.
The primary role of the Senior Materials Specialist is to procure aviation parts in support of both internal and external customers.
This includes placing orders and building relationships with with outside vendors, managing parts movement and utilizing automated inventory management systems to create, track and closeout purchase orders.
This position requires closely monitoring day to day communication with service center maintenance personnel to ensure priority demands are met.
The position requires the ability to review metrics and analize trends that measure procurement and stockage effectiveness.
Additional roles in this position may include receiving and issuing stock, maintaining appropriate stock levels and maintaining sound inventory control of on hand stock.
Qualifications
Knowledge of aviation parts, procurement Background in Aviation inventory Preferred Background in Supply Chain Management
Preferred Strong customer service skills
Knowledge of Windows and Office products
Ability to read, write and understand English Computer proficiency
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
High School graduate / GED Must possess a valid drivers license 3-5 years of experience.
